Q: What's my guarantee that the nurses will pass NCLEX?
A: This is question that always haunts healthcare employers. To those who are familiar with international recruitment, they understand that passing the NCLEX is normally not difficult for those nurses who are recent CGFNS passers. This is because the CGFNS exam has a lower pass rate than the NCLEX and it has similar type questions to the NCLEX so it is a good predictor for passage of NCLEX. In fact, for nurses arriving in the U.S. with CGFNS, we have over a 93% first time passage rate for NCLEX. All remaining percentage passed on the second exam. We as an entity worry less about passage of NCLEX than we do about other stages of this process.
Q: How long does it take to get a nurse?
A: From the time an order is placed until the nurse arrives in the U.S. normally takes between ten to sixteen months depending on what qualifications the employer requires of the nurse.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: The cost depends upon the amount of nurses and the services that you seek from us. We offer services from as low as providing you a CGFNS passed nurse and putting them through the immigration process all the way through a full service package which covers every detail including airfare and housing. Thus, cost can vary significantly. We as a company will first and foremost find out what services you want, how many nurses you seek and then quote you accordingly.
Q: What is the length of the employment agreement between the healthcare facility and the nurse?
A: This totally depends upon you the employer. Most employers require a two to three year commitment on behalf of the nurse. However, some keep employment at will with a clause in the contract requiring a nurse to pay back cost if they don't remained employed with your facility for a certain number of years.
Q: Will there be a communication problem between our American staff and the foreign nurses?
A: Nurses who we recruit have been schooled their entire lives in the English language. They also are required to pass a battery of English exams so that you are assured of nurses who will be able to communicate easily and effectively with their American coworkers.
Q: Are they equivalent to U.S. Nurses?
A: The nurses that we recruit usually have a four-year Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree as opposed to a two-year Associates Degree in Nursing that are prevalent here. The foreign nurses must follow the same route an American nurse must travel by passing the NCLEX. But unlike American nurses, the foreign nurses must also pass the CGFNS exam to be accepted by most states. The training and equipment may not always be at the standard of the United States but nurse to patient ratios are much greater and loyalty much stronger. Thus, after a short amount of acclimatization, you will little difference with the work between foreign nurses and your American staff.
